What's in a picture?

You've heard it said that a picture paints a thousand words.

While those make good song lyrics, did you know that pictures have a dramatic effect on your e-commerce efforts.
In our observations, sites that display pictures for most items will sell 4x as much product online as those who only use descriptions.
That is a HUGE piece of information.

If your site is currently light on pictures, I encourage you to make the effort to collect images and attach them to products.
You'll be glad you did!

Do these words sound familiar to you?
As a consultant working with a variety of clients, I've heard these words almost as a mantra.  When discussing data backup, the conversation almost always includes these words...

I recently received a phone call that sent chills down my spine.
It started with the words "Heath, Last night BEFORE our backup ran, we had a system failure".

Little Things Can Make A Big Difference

Have you ever considered how the little changes you make to your site can make a big difference in performance?

When making changes to your site, you need to be certain to measure the effect those changes have on your visitors, traffic, and search engines. 
Something as simple as moving the placement of a phone number, or simply rewording a paragraph of text can change how people respond to your site.
